The Rum Category is evolving and deserves more respect in its classification than just simply white/gold/dark. As such, we're adopting a classification model derived from the team at the Whisky Exchange as well as Luca Gargano (Velier) and Richard Seale (Foursquare) with the aim to educate our followers on their respective rum journey's. The terminology used aims to help our readers understand how their rum is made and the associated flavours to be found in relation to each type.
Single Traditional Blended Rums (Pot/Column Still)
Rum distilled at one distillery in both traditional pot stills and traditional column stills. Flavour characteristics are a marrying of both heavier style pot still and lighter column still rums giving a balanced full-flavoured spirit in the bottle.
