La Mauny

Established in 1749, La Mauny is the largest distillery in the French West Indies and the largest distiller of agricole rum in the Caribbean. Founded by the Comte de Mauny, sugar cane was above all, cultivated for sale. But from the 19th century onwards the La Mauny estate started to gradually turn towards the production of rum.
